What?

The position of Student Editor-in-Chief is accompanied with the ultimate responsibility for the content of Amsterdam Medical Student journal (AMSj), a scientific journal aiming to encourage conduct and publication of research among medical students. 

Who?

As Student Editor-in-Chief, you are part of the editorial board, consisting of two student Editor-in-Chiefs (AMC and VUmc), a content editor, native editor, a creative editor and two staff Editor-in-Chiefs (AMC and VUmc). You are punctual, critical, have creative ideas and an eye for detail to continually improve AMSj. 

Why?

You will be exposed to a lot of educational and networking possibilities, such as learning the process of reviewing an article, come in contact with a lot of different specialties and reviewers, and be part of a very motivated and amicable editorial and general board. Furthermore, this function is a valuable addition for you resumé and you have the wonderful chance to implement new ideas for the journal in collaboration with your
board. 

Tasks?

You are expected to lead the editorial staff (more than 60 reviewers), curate the content of our quarterly journal and attend the editorial board’s quarterly meetings.  

Time commitment?

The role of Student Editor-in-Chief requires approximately 3-6 hours per week. 

Conditions for applicants? 
* Lives in the Netherlands 
* Speaks Dutch 
* Preference is given to medical student from Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, nevertheless students from location VUmc are welcome to apply as well.
